Refunds and Transfers can only be accepted if the application is received at least 5 weeks before the scheduled test date. There is a $70 administrative fee charged for refunds or transfers.
Candidates who seek to cancel their registration or transfer test dates within the five-week period prior to the test date will only receive a refund or transfer if they can satisfy to the Administrator that their ability to sit the test has been affected by illness or serious cause. Sending your passport to immigration is not considered a serious cause. Serious causes include:
- illness – e.g. hospital admission, serious injury or illness (does not include minor illness such as a mild cold)
- loss or bereavement – death of a close family member
- hardship/trauma – victim of crime, victim of a traffic accident
- military service.
For all transfer or cancellation requests please complete the following forms and bring in person, email firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to the IELTS office:
- Appropriate documentation and/or evidence if applied including but not limited to medical certificate from a registered medical doctor, a death notice, certificate, police report or government letter.
We cannot consider a transfer or refund request received more than 5 days after the test.
