Refunds and Transfers
We can offer you a refund of your test fee or a transfer to a new date ( within 3 months) as long as we receive enough notice. We require at least one week notice for a Computer-Delivered test and 5 weeks for a Paper-Based test. If you have a last-minute emergency, we can refund or transfer if you provide documentation supporting your absence. A list of what is considered ” Acceptable, Serious Cause” is noted below.
Computer-Delivered IELTS test

Last minute requests for refunds/transfers are only considered under special circumstances, such as the ones listed below:
- Serious Illness — hospital admission or serious injury (must be accompanied by a medical note from a registered Medical Doctor)
- Loss or Bereavement — death of a close family member (must be accompanied by a death certificate)
- Hardship/Trauma — victim of a crime, victim of a traffic accident (must be accompanied by a police report)
- Military Service — enlistment (must be accompanied by a letter from government)
You must submit:
- Documented proof of the above (for example, a doctor’s note)
- A completed Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Application Form
There is a $75.00 administrative fee for all refunds or transfers, even if you have serious cause.
